we come from mud

a quirky ceramic face made of separate eyes, nose, and mouth magnets

Hi, I’m Alex!

I am a Philadelphia-based visual artist, musician, educator, cat parent, and resurrector of trashed plants. I also dig through trash for materials to create collages documenting political chaos and hypocrisy. The majority of my ceramics is made from discarded clay. My clay and collage works have been showcased in several East Coast galleries.

I am inspired to find universal human themes. Suffering, silliness, joy, and chaos hold us together as much as the same atoms that form our bodies. We come from mud. Let’s play in it.
